The Beauty of Being Hired Again

There’s something truly special about being invited back to perform at a venue. It’s more than just a gig—it’s validation that your presence, your artistry, and your ability to connect with an audience left a lasting impression.

When I was selected to perform again at a senior facility that rivals high-end hotels in comfort and atmosphere, I was elated. Whether it was because I was the only one who submitted a bid or the most affordable option, I choose to believe it was the positive feedback I received from my last performance—Valentine’s Day Dinner—that secured my return. A win is a win, and I’m embracing it.

This time around, I plan to channel the smooth elegance of Nat King Cole, letting my guitar and voice weave an atmosphere of nostalgia, warmth, and joy during the cocktail hour. There’s an undeniable beauty in being trusted with someone’s experience, in knowing that what you bring to the table matters.

Being hired again isn’t just about the performance itself; it’s a testament to the connections we build through music and the emotions we stir in others. That’s what makes every return gig worth cherishing.

Here’s to making magic again!
