First Time at the Market: Music, Ministry & Momentum
I just finished playing my first set at the College Park Farmers Market—and let me tell you, it was a soulful stretch. Three hours of blues, storytelling, and connection. I brought my gear, my guitar, and my heart. I even tried to mix in a book signing, because why not? When you’re building something, every moment counts.
The skies teased us with rain, but they held back just long enough for the music to flow. The numbers weren’t bad—folks came and went, some lingered, some listened, some tipped. I sat the whole time, but I’m feeling it today. Tired in that deep, satisfying way. Like I left a piece of myself on that stage.
I tested out new equipment, made a few connections, and shared stories with strangers who didn’t feel like strangers for long. That’s the magic of live music—it turns a sidewalk into a sanctuary, a market into a memory.
This wasn’t a stadium gig. It wasn’t a packed hall. But it was real. It was honest. And it was the beginning of something. I’m grateful for every nod, every smile, every moment someone paused to listen.
If you were there, thank you. If you missed it, there’ll be more. The Blusician is just getting started.
Follow the journey.
